Baneesha Gill

Baneesha is a physiotherapist who is born and raised in Nanaimo and is 2024 graduate from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia’s Masters of Science in Physical Therapy program. She spent four years at Vancouver Island University to obtain her Bachelors of Science in Biology (2022) and soon after her graduation Baneesha was accepted to UBC’s Northern Cohort located in Prince George, BC where she completed her Masters.

Growing up, Baneesha learned how to speak fluently in Punjabi, as well as Hindi and played multiple competitive sports in high school. Being active and playing on teams sparked Baneesha’s passion for the field of physiotherapy and she is excited to explore the research on treatment protocols, prioritize preventative treatment as well as continuing to be a student in the physiotherapy field.

In her free time Baneesha enjoys being active, drinking coffee and spending her time exploring the Island.
